Kale

The simple act of eating is wildly complex

Kale is the partner you create to simplify it

Kale takes the mental load of meal management off your plate — it learns your kitchen, your preferences, and your nutritional profile to help meet your goals and simplify your life. You'll never start from scratch again.

No app has ever connected the big picture

You want to feed yourself and your people well. Meet your nutritional needs. Stay on budget. Keep everyone happy. No app has ever connected all of that. Until now.

The Problem

You're already doing all you can. Perhaps for you that means researching Instagram, meal planning, and saving recipes. Or maybe it's takeout again, because you just couldn't face another decision. The problem isn't effort. It's that no tool exists that holds the full picture and actually connects them into something useful for today.

How Kale works

Log anything, any way. Snap a photo of your plate. Type "pasta and a glass of wine." Say the kids had PB&J on wheat for lunch. Make it a conversation, or a single sentence. Kale figures out the rest — no measuring, no database searching, no perfect portion sizes required. As meals come in throughout the day, Kale builds a real-time nutritional picture to support your needs. Check in anytime for meal suggestions based on criteria you set - Kale recommends recipes to help you reach your nutritional, emotional and physical targets. Adjust ingredients to meet your budget, that Italian sounds good, that you have 20 minutes to cook and ground beef and a tomato in the house. Get a suggestion that actually works, right now.It gets smarter every day. Every meal logged, every recipe saved, every new favorite teaches Kale how to support you better. The longer you use it, the less you have to think.

Founder Notes

I'm Katie.A 49-year-old mom of two, with a challenging job and long commutes. My partner and I want to prioritize healthy eating - we enjoy cooking and actually live on a farm, but we've struggled to prioritize our eating with all of our daily challenges and commitments.Managing our nutritional health felt like something I should be able to control. I spent months doing this manually with AI tools — logging every meal, tracking our nutrient gaps, getting meal suggestions based on what was in my fridge. It worked. But it was still more work than it needed to be.So I'm building Kale. Because everyone deserves a team.
